To my Aunt and Godmother- You have always held a very special place in my life and heart. Through many stories told, I know that during my baby and my toddler years, you were always looking out for me (and making a young aunt Darlene do so as well) lucky me-poor aunt Darlene . As I grew older, you always made special effort to stay a part of my life. You were there for my high school and university graduation, you took Greg and I out to dinner to celebrate our engagement, you were at our wedding and the very first to visit when my children were born. Then-later in life, when I became ill- you went to the church and had a special blessing sent to me by mail-something I will never, ever forget. God bless your soul. Growing up , you were a strong, independent role model to me. You were always sharply dressed, very knowledgeable and always said exactly what was on your mind because it was your truth. I respected your confidence and your overall generous spirit. I will be forever grateful for the extreme generosity you have shown me throughout my life. During the holidays-every year, you were so committed to spending so much time choosing and buying wonderful gifts and then wrapping them so beautifully and meticulously as I’m sure the entire family remembers. You would prepare all year for Christmas. In the end, you were a spirited and strong soul who will be loved and missed for the rest of our lives. May our dear Heavenly Father bless you richly. I love you. “ To live in the hearts we leave behind-is to never die”

Dear family. I am so sorry for the loss of your dear loved one. What brings me comfort in times like these is the scripture found at Revelation 21: 3, 4 where God promises to do away with all sickness and death forever. Please accept my heartfelt condolences and may Jehovah, the God of all comfort, be with your family during this most difficult time in your lives.
