Aunt Vange was a fabulous cook/baker/seamstress. Used to babysit you kids in the 60's and she always had baked goodies. When I worked with her doing the Adcrafter on Wednesday's she always brought something for us to eat. Loved going to the Sprenger reunions and sitting by her because she had the best memory and always remembered what kid went which cousin. And as usual she always brought the best dish to pass. I'm surprised you kids didn't weigh a few hundred pounds because of her cooking skills. lol I know it had been more than 10 years since I last saw her because that is how long we have lived up north. She also helped me the best she could when I was trying to do the Brookes genealogy. (of which I lost all my info with my computer crash) That part was a shame. Miss you Aunt Vange and condolences to Harry, Larry, Margaret Mary & Barry. I do believe Aunt Vange was our last remaining Aunt. Ann & Tom Noble (Brookes)

Harry, Larry, Maggie and Barry, I am so sorry to hear of the passing of your mom, "Aunt Vange" as we knew her. She was one of my favorite people when we were growing up. I always looked forward to our visits to her house and continued to visit her with my mom even after I moved out to California. For many years of my married life I had an apron she made for me till it became so threadbare. I remember what a talented seamstress she was and learned many tips from her. Her home was always impeccably kept and decorated and she always had a tray of home-baked goodies to offer along with her gorgeous smile. Her picture here is just as I remember her graceful and elegant. Always quick with a witty comment, we could always count on Aunt Vange "saying it like it is". I have many good memories of card parties at our house and Sunday visits! You were blessed to have her these many years. I am now the age our mom, your Aunt Rita, was when we lost her. I hope that beautiful memories will surround and comfort you all. Love transcends end of life. Her love will always be there for you. God bless and keep you Aunt Vange! Peace be with you. Sincerely, Janice Brookes Connon
