Carolyn S. Sarnecki, 96, of Clinton Township, MI, passed away on December 19, 2018, quietly in her sleep. Carolyn is survived by two sons Joseph (Peggy) and Christopher (Isolde), eleven grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren, and one great, great grandchild. She was predeceased by her husband, Charles, and two sons, David and Timothy, and David's wife, Janet.
After college, Carolyn taught for 20 years at Little Mack Elementary in the Clintondale school system.
Carolyn lived a very active life, first with the USO and as a "Rosy the Riveter" during World War II. She traveled throughout the U.S, including Alaska and Hawaii, often on well-remembered family camping trips. She also traveled to Europe, Australia, New Zealand, China and Africa.
The family was active in the Boy Scouts of America. She was also an active participant in Questers, Bible studies, humanity studies and several book clubs.
Her memorial will be held on January 19 at Christ Church Fraser, 34385 Garfield, Fraser, MI. Visitation with the family will begin at noon, followed by a service at 1 p.m.
